Mitsubishi were launching the new series of the L200 pick up truck and required a shoot to deliver photography for advertising across the spectrum and video for web and showrooms. The initial concept was “showing the world how it is done” through a road trip.

An epic two-week road trip through five countries to the Sahara desert was devised, taking in a multitude of terrain and challenges along the way. The end result was spectacular photography and video content for the product launch. The whole trip was also captured on camera by award-winning automotive photographer Nigel Harniman, whose work helped launch a high-profile national press campaign, alongside digital advertising. Secret Compass managed all the location planning, logistics and access, putting together a specialised production team to capture the journey.
